As you know, Studio One 4 has been on the market for a while now. It’s the latest update as of this post. If you remember Sample One from Studio One 3.0 and earlier, you know this has taken a tremendous design overhaul. The new design is tailored better for today’s modern style of creating music. For instants the trap music world has taken this nation by storm and unless you are making fast beats in DAWs such as FL Studio, Ableton Live, or Logic Pro you were forced to be super creative. Although Studio One is super cool to use when creating music, they just simply was not optimized for this purpose. This is coming from someone who’s been using Studio One for Music Production, Mixing, and Mastering for over 5 years now. I sort of found myself resorting back to Logic Pro for many musical reasons in order to move forward quickly in my post production work. But Studio One was always the preferred choice for the final mix, master, and exporting in several formats that included meta-data information embed into the file.
Presonus is doing an great job molding Studio One to support people who love making music like myself. It would be a great day when I can use S1 for all my production needs.
Hybrid Keys huh? The new kid on the block came out to play. One of the newest instrument by Native Instruments (a.k.a. NI) out of three. We made a video focusing on how simple Hybrid Keys interface is. You can layer two sounds within their deep library samples that came pre installed after it’s downloaded. The only downfall is, you will need to update your Kontakt player to the latest version Kontakt 6. Kontakt 6 is another topic in itself but the tools designed in this platform creates another avenue for creators that takes possibilities to another level.
Shopping for the right headphones can be challenging at times. There are so many to choose from. All headphones are not created equal. The major factor that effects people’s buying decision is based on cost. Everyone wants a bang for their buck. If you have a small budget towards headphones, and get the sound of a big budget pair, how happy will this make you? I was highly impressed by Status Audio CB-1. This design fits well around my ears with comfortable foam/ leather material. They could have been slightly bigger, but I digest.
For the price I recommend these. These closed back models are great for enjoying music, making beats, or mix referencing discretely. No worrying about others hearing what you are doing.
